The Friends of the Tucker Free Library are funding activities and incentives for our annual summer reading program. Full details can be found at: Opportunities for all age-groups are available. The Friends hope to foster support of the library, the community, and our patrons. Please join us for a summer of reading fun activities, crafts, scavenger hunts, and raffles. If you aren’t a Friend consider joining at:

The New Hampshire State Library has NOT restarted INTERLIBRARY LOAN. Until a majority of libraries are open and can safely handle these materials, the NHSL will not begin this service. Individual libraries like Tucker Free have no control over this program.

Staff will begin notifying patrons of overdue materials on July 14, 2020. All materials that were checked out prior to the pandemic closure should be returned at this time. If you are unable to bring them to the library, you are urged to contact staff using the information below to make accommodations for the return of library materials.

For safety reasons, the book drops will remain closed. The library continues to operate a NO TOUCH SELF CHECK-IN station at the front door. Based on current scientific research conducted on library materials, all returned materials must be quarantined for 72 hours. For more details see:

CURBSIDE PICKUP continues daily Tuesday-Saturday. CURBSIDE PICKUP is located at the rear of the building at the designated entrance. Please follow the safety protocols that have been established. Members of the Friends of Tucker Free Library are willing to provide front porch drop-off of library materials. PATRONS REQUIRING ASSISTANCE OR HOME DELIVERY ARE URGED TO CALL THE LIBRARY AT 428-3471.

The staff process requests for CURBSIDE PICKUP as they are received. They wear appropriate PPE’s including face masks, face shields, and gloves. To maintain privacy, materials are placed in brown paper bags. These bags should not be returned to the library. To pick up your materials, announce your name at the appointed location and step away from the door. A staff member then places the bag on a table, returns inside, and then signals the patron to approach. Please leave the area immediately to allow others to safely approach.

Patrons have four ways to REQUEST materials for CURBSIDE PICKUP. Patrons may:

• Call 428-3471 during library hours to speak to a reader advisor

• Text us at 603-267-4326

• Email requests to
